From our first telephone consultation Jamie answered all our initial questions, then at the venue for our pre wedding meeting he went through everything step by step including a plan A and plan B for pictures inside or outside depending on the weather. On the day Jamie worked so hard to capture every aspect of our wedding, arriving extra early at my parents house where I was getting ready through to staying to make sure he captured all the dance floor action.

We had Jamie photograph our wedding back in November & from start to finish we couldn’t have asked for more. Photographs are such a big part of a wedding day & you want to make sure you have the best to help you remember the day, but neither of us enjoy having our photo taken so we were quite apprehensive about the whole thing!

We had our pre-wedding shoot with him & not only did he make it enjoyable for us and helped us relax in front of the camera, but he was willing to trek to the top of Dinas Bran where we wanted it done. A few weeks before the wedding we had a walk around our venue & he was great at listening to what we wanted but also coming up with good suggestions for photos and also managed to cope with our incredibly mad german shepherd.

Other than a few occasions of taking the group photos or a few separate photos of just the two of us the rest of the day Jamie seamlessly blended in to the crowd and most of the time we were genuinely unaware we were being photographed and the photos are truly candid. Our friends & family were also so impressed with him on the day & the photos he’s produced as well as his dedication to capturing the dancefloor! He got our previews to us the next day before we went away on honeymoon which was fantastic.

From the moment Jamie arrived, he was so friendly and easy-going, the kind of person who instantly puts you at ease which is what we needed as a camera shy couple. He blended in seamlessly with our guests and was such a good sport throughout the whole day.

They were with us for around 12 hours, capturing everything from the morning preparations right through to the evening, and never once made it feel forced or staged. The way he managed to get the big moments as well as the little in-between ones was incredible, all so natural and full of joy.

Jamie was absolutely brilliant throughout. His attention to detail is spot on. He took some fantastic photos during our wedding pre shoot, with two crazy springer spaniels exploring the woods and lots of outfit changes. He accommodated our wants and wishes throughout and made us feel at ease.

He spent his time getting to know us which was nice and reassuring. During the wedding meeting, in the pub with a pint, Jamie listened to all our crazy tik tok inspirations and was realistic with lighting and other factors that could’ve affected the quality of the photos.

On the wedding day, it was a bit all over the place with timings which was mainly as a result of the horrendous, non-stop rain that we had. He even offered to take all the boys down to the church which he didn’t have to. We really wanted to do some sneaky shots which we were all looking forward to but he ensured we got ALL of our other wishes and wants!

He was great. He regularly checked in with us throughout the day and on a few instances had to think quickly on his feet and be flexible and adaptable. He captured some shots that we will remember and treasure for a long, long time.

We just want to start this by saying a huge thankyou to Jamie. Due to a last minute cancellation 9 days before our big day, Jamie was happy to juggle things around and take time out to shoot our big day. He still even managed to make his way to Walton hall and meet me and Connor there a few days before to talk through potential photo opportunities.

When Jamie arrived at my mum and dads on the morning of the wedding he instantly made me (Robyn the bride) feel at ease. With all the kaos going on, he made me feel relaxed, he was so thorough and talked me through everything that was going on and how to capture the most fantastic pictures. He also said to me that if at any point I didn’t feel comfortable, to stressed etc or wanted some time away then that’s fine. When I got to the venue Jamie put me at ease, calmed me down and made me feel so comfortable.

We didn’t even realise Jamie was here with us at our wedding, he was hidden away but still managed to take the most amazing photos. It was also so nice for myself, Connor and Jamie to go away for half an hour around the Walton hall grounds to capture some amazing photos. Jamie is the most down to earth man we have ever met, we all got on from the start and we really regret not having him sit with us for our wedding breakfast because he is genuinely a nice guy. His photography skills are fantastic and we are over the moon with all our amazing photos.

Jamie Ellis is not only an incredibly talented photographer, he is also a lovely guy whose attention to detail is second to none. We got married very quickly (16 weeks from start to finish) due to the deterioration of my mother's dementia and from the start Jamie made us feel comfortable (we are not lovers of having our picture taken), he was sensitive to our situation and his pictures have captured moments we will cherish for a life time. Above all of this, the way Jamie chatted to my mum, and helped her when she became distressed was truly beautiful to see and he went above and beyond to get the best possible pictures.

Jamie was there from 9.30am to around 10.30pm and he didn't stop. When we were all preoccupied enjoying the most special day of our lives, Jamie was off looking around the grounds for the perfect photo opportunities, places with the best lighting and specific areas of the grounds which could produce some astonishingly beautiful pictures.

On the off chance, I gave Jamie a call having seen his stunning work online. The fates shone and he had our date free. I’d also like to mention that in these early discussions, Jamie suggested a visit to a location immediately after our ceremony for a couples shoot that for the rest of our lives will be one of the fondest and most precious memories from the day. This was entirely down to his ambition and drive to deliver something exceptional.

On the day itself, there is no other way to describe Jamie than a machine. He was absolutely relentless. He worked in a way that was barely noticeable in moments, but was also there to guide and instruct in the moment where we needed that too. No matter what logistical challenge presented itself on the day, and for us that also even included some summer rain, Jamie was adaptable and able to produce moments of magic from situations that should have been issues.

There were times in the day where my Wife and I flagged, and in those moments, Jamie’s calm presence and patience kept us going. He was so appreciative of the emotional roller coaster that is a wedding day, and so personable with us both, which just put us completely at ease at every stage.

Finding Jamie was so nearly not meant to be for us, but my goodness are we glad we did. Jamie got our images back to us within 5 weeks of the wedding taking place, despite the fact that we were a last minute booking. The softness, warmth, and pure emotion in Jamie’s shots delver everything about your day you’ll treasure forever. Jamie is so much more than a photographer. He is a wonderful person, and a capturer of the most precious of moments that will tell the story of your day.

Jamie was our photographer for our wedding in May 2024. We had sat and researched a photographer based on the style we wanted. From the initial meeting, we knew we had to book Jamie. We wanted a relaxed wedding, with plenty of ‘capturing the moment’ shots rather than too many staged photos. And wow, Jamie just got it. We had a pre-shoot (we would absolutely recommend) where we got to spend more time with Jamie before the day, practised some shots, and got a whole bunch of incredible photos even before the wedding day.

Jamie went above and beyond, by meeting us again before the wedding day, to walk around our venue with us and plan out where photos were going to be if the weather was good, and a plan B incase of rain. When it came to the day, he caught every emotion from so many of our guests (and of us) - and did it so incredibly well. Even our guests commented on how hard he worked, how amazing he was with them, and how much they love the photos too. We’re already planning on booking Jamie again for further shoots, and we’ve recommended him to everyone we know for their weddings. Jamie Ellis is an absolute gem and we are so thrilled we had him photograph our wedding day. From the initial consultation to the final photo delivery, he exceeded all expectations. Jamie clearly has a wealth of experience and this shone through on the day, and in the photos we received after the wedding. He is so friendly and made sure we felt at ease and comfortable throughout the whole process. He blended into our day and made the photos appear so natural and managed to really capture each special moment.

Jamie’s prices are very good, and are well worth the investment – we couldn’t have asked for anyone better to photograph our wedding day. He listened to everything we wanted and made suggestions when we were clueless. He really made sure every detail was clear before the day and this is reflected in the photos and where he went the extra mile to get the best shots. We had all sorts of activities on the day including axe throwing, archery, segways, crazy golf, rifle shooting and a bird of prey show and he captured everything perfectly.

The pictures that we received are more than we could possibly have asked for. The editing style is absolutely perfect for us and we will cherish them for the rest of our lives. I was really nervous about receiving the wedding photos as we aren’t the most photogenic people and are very camera shy, but the photos are gorgeous and we are overjoyed with them.

I honestly don’t know how to start to say thank you to Jamie… From the moment we contacted Jamie, we knew we liked him. He responded extremely quickly and arranged to meet us close by to home. To say we didn’t have a clue what we wanted would be a colossal understatement, to say the least!… but he knew what to do, and say.

He certainly had his hands full with us as we both aren’t comfortable in front of the camera but honestly, it didn’t phase him. We met him beforehand for a pre-wedding shoot, which included the loves of my life, not just my husband… but my horse and dog too. The images are something I will cherish for the rest of my days. During the day, he was there early, he’d already taken so many images of the venue, and then helped me make sure he captured everything beforehand. During the ceremony and the evening I barely noticed him taking pictures, he was like a stealth agent on a secret mission!

People kept asking me how it went… I can honestly say it went so quickly and I could barely recall anything. When I got the email from Jamie with the entire days images, it all came flooding back. It was a beautiful feeling. He captured everything, the set up, the dress, flowers, the wedding party, the venue and something that was so important to us, the personalities of our family and friends, perfectly. I cannot recommend Jamie highly enough, he will make a lot of people very happy, just like us. You won’t regret booking Jamie to capture your day, I guarantee it!

Where do I even start. From the get go Jamie was just incredible!! Email communication and then zoom calls and a face to face meeting meant keeping in touch and explaining what we wanted and what was important to us was so easy. Extremely reasonably priced and transparent in pricing, no back and forth or filling in forms...all the info was there on his website along with portfolio of pictures to view.

Jamie was very easy to get along with and put us at ease as we were worried about being photographed as it felt unnatural to us. On our day, Jamie was literally amazing, I can't even explain how good he was. He put me at ease when he could see I was nervous and guided me on individual bridal shots as well as the dress reveal to my bridesmaids and mother in law etc He was amazing with our 2 girls and allowed them to get involved with taking some pictures on his camera and helping him hold my veil near the camera for an artistic shot. This helped the girls be at ease around him too and they were so happy to be helping with such a big part of the day! The pictures we have had back are fantastic and everything we could have wished for and more.

Jamie took waaaay more shots than we'd discussed and for that I'm so thankful, he was keeping an eye on the weather so we could get out into the grounds for some good shots in between showers, and genuinely went above and beyond. He stayed so much longer than he should have done and so had the longest day ever. But honestly I can't recommend this photographer enough! Genuinely didn't even realise he was there but somehow he was everywhere! His presence on the day was fantastic and very chilled, got on with everyone and worked bloody hard!! Our pictures are absolutely incredible and we love them so much, thankyou so so much Jamie!

I would 100% recommend Jamie as your wedding photographer. From the second we booked him he was absolutely incredible. Made us feel so at ease in our first meeting. Then on the day he really did go above and beyond anything we expected. Every “planned” photo felt so relaxed and no pressure at all. For the other “action” shots you wouldn’t have known Jamie was there, yet he managed to capture some perfect moments.

The variety of photos Jamie captures is also amazing. Over 500 photos to choose from and he managed to capture incredible moments of every guest (around 150). Pretty much everyone from our wedding has commented on how brilliant Jamie was and how friendly he was on the day - mingling and having a laugh with the guests. Also letting our 2 daughters have a go with his camera.

Jamie was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I am not comfortable with having my photo taken and he put me at ease and made the whole experience relaxing and fun. We had an engagement photo shoot which was a lovely day and we had some lovely photos.
